Soon it's a day and my portrait still hasn't updated. Now don't mistake me for crying here because I wanna see my new look ... ... *snickers* xD ... ... but seriously, it never before took THAT long.
Except maybe at the kronos release... but why would people make so many portraits NOW?
Is there new stuff in the NES I have missed?
Anyhow... as I think it's easy to miss issues regarding this, I thought I'd post it here.

Tracy Smith wrote:Same problem here. None of my characters' portraits have updated today. I've logged in and out and cleared the cache, to no avail. Nice name!
It's not a local issue. Usually you see a local copy ingame, but have to wait until the server renders a HQ version, which I believe is simple supersampling.
One can't do anything but wait, but the timeframe indicates either lots of new portraits or an issue. The case of the bottomless dress. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=349499

If you need fashion or color advise, just give me a call.
I'm pretty good at this. (: The case of the bottomless dress. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=349499

As in ... I NEED HELP, WHO DO I CALL?
Well, let's hope they realize it's actually not just a singular issue.
I guess it's because the server wants my boobs to stay on the forums this way ... forever!

Rain6637 wrote:sorry guys
I just learned that as a result of my constant efforts to raise awareness for avatar gameplay, players have rediscovered character customization after not touching it even once since beginning the game. this has caused a backlog of work for the character avatar server, and it will never catch up.
apologies.
my campaign for avatar gameplay is still a go, however. I think you're pretty off and overestimating yourself. :) The case of the bottomless dress. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=349499

Rain6638 wrote:Tracy Smith wrote:Yep, all sorted: Quote:Our records indicate that your character's portraits have now been rendered by our server. I saw your portrait in another thread, the 'what are you listening to today' in OOPE, and noticed how we have same background and I'm not the only one whose portrait seems a little bit... extra dreamy? did you notice this too? Just curious if someone else is noticing the same thing. I don't know what your portrait looked like before. Tracy had no portrait at all.
Oh and I noticed the effect you seem to be describing ... the background seems to affect you. The case of the bottomless dress. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=349499

What you're experiencing is color psychology and how it affects your sense.
I don't see any differences between the images, besides the background, which obviously affects the overall image..
http://www.google.com/search?q=psychology+of+colors&num=100&oq=psychology+of+colors&gs_l=mobile-heirloom-serp.12..0l5.1885.7319.0.8517.21.14.0.7.7.0.257.2613.2j5j7.14.0....0...1c.1.34.mobile-heirloom-serp..1.20.2627.d31795IP3uo
I strongly suggest you learn more about how colors affect the general population without them realising it.
Then you'll find proper awareness of your experience.
That being said... My portraits aren't updating again. The case of the bottomless dress. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=349499
